Heart Ponderings

Something I have been pondering lately: am I "feeding" my soul light or darkness?

Matthew 6:22-24

“The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light, but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness! “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the on...e and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money."

This also relates to my lengthy pondering of Galatians 6:7-9 and what "kind" of seed I am planting in the field of my heart.

"Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up."

Of course I should not get discouraged while doing good, because I bear the easy yoke of Jesus, my Master. And His wages and requirements are so worth giving HIm my all!

Matthew 11:28-30

"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
